The 10 Plagues?

Is God sending the 10 plagues on me?

Ha!

This week forecasted an atmospheric river.  Aka:  Lots of rain.

The “lots of rain” brought something interesting and unexpected. A very, very loud frog took up residence outside my bedroom window.

I think it was Tuesday night that I heard it.

CROAK!  CROAKKK!  CROOOOAAAKKKK!

Blessing #1:  I can sleep through anything.

It is Friday night and I have an armada of frogs outside my sliding glass window.

Blessing #2:  My beautiful backyard which backs up to Elder Creek.

Blessing #3:  Man #3 visited me and he watched my favorite movie (all the way through) with me.  Not an easy task.  This guy could be a keeper.

Blessing #4:  Lots of frogs in my backyard may mean fewer mosquitos this summer.

Blessing #5:  Fridays at work mean I get to spend a good amount of time in deep conversation with Elisa.  Today she shared these with me.

Blessing #6:  Fridays at work mean I get to spend a good amount of time in deep conversation with Janet.  She must be about 30 years older than me, but I’m pretty sure we have the hearts for each other of two sisters.

Blessing #7:  Fridays at work mean I get to spend a good amount of time in deep conversation with Hazel.  God brought us together when we had our youngest children in our bellies.  God brought us together when we, as pregnant moms, woke up to falling towers, a day I knew would alter the trajectory of the world.  Every young person who is going out to march tomorrow morning, I pray they find a “Hazel”.  She inspires me when I feel like all is for naught.

Blessing #7:  That child in my belly…he turns 16 tomorrow!!!!

Blessing #8:  With all that deep conversating on Fridays, I even manage to get a good amount of tasks completed.

Blessing #9:  God’s mercies are new every morning.  Lamentations Chapter 3…

22 The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;[b]
    his mercies never come to an end;
23 they are new every morning;
    great is your faithfulness.

Blessing #10:  I do not have 10 plagues upon me.

What are some of your blessings – a thing conducive to happiness or welfare?
